Who we are

NRI Navigator is an independent content site publishing practical guides for NRIs on relocation, investing, banking, and tax topics. We are not a bank, broker, tax authority, or licensed financial/legal/tax advisor.

What data we collect

We do not currently operate any user accounts, and we do not run a server-side database. Specifically:

• Site analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. It reports aggregate metrics (page views, referrers, rough geography) and cannot identify you personally.
• The RNOR calculator: runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to us or stored anywhere outside your own device.
• The Moving-Back Checklist: your checklist progress (which boxes you've checked) and the email address you enter to unlock it are currently stored only in your browser's local storage. As of this writing, that email address is not transmitted to us or to any third party — see the note below, which we'll update the moment that changes.
• If we add an email newsletter signup in the future that actually sends your email to a mailing list provider, this policy will be updated first, and that section will name the specific provider and link to their own privacy policy.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Your browser's local storage (used for the checklist and calculator, described above) is not a cookie and is never accessible to us directly — it stays on your device.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are, or may become, affiliate or referral links — meaning if you click through and sign up for or purchase a product or service (a bank account, brokerage account, remittance service, insurance policy, or professional consultation, for example), we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

This does not influence our editorial content. We write our comparisons and recommendations based on what we believe is genuinely useful to NRIs navigating these decisions, and we call out trade-offs and downsides even for services we may earn a commission from. Where a specific link on this site is an affiliate link, we aim to make that clear from context (comparison pages, "compare providers" call-to-action buttons).

Advertising

We do not currently run display advertising (e.g., Google AdSense) on this site. If we do in the future, this section will be updated to describe what that means for third-party cookies and ad personalization, before any ads go live.

Third-party links

This site links to external banks, brokers, government resources, and service providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites — review their own privacy policies separately.
